A wordsmith with a great love for building pharmaceutical brands, Tom is known for creating content that makes emotional connections with medical professionals—and helps clients gain traction and build ROI.

Hailing from Long Island, New York, Tom started as an editor, working with John Lally, Jim McFarland, & Ron Pantello, shortly before all three giants were inducted into the Medical Advertising Hall of Fame. In fact, Tom wrote the copy for the very first version of MAHF.com.

Tom began copywriting after being one of 30 fortunate students in the first and only “Pharmaceutical Copywriting Course,” which was sponsored by the Pharmaceutical Advertising Council and was taught by pharma legends like John Kallir, Frank Hughes, Marty Ross, and Ed Cohen. Soon after, Tom landed writing gigs at MED Communications, Harrison & Star, and then Integrated Communications Corporation, where he crossed paths with Jon Male.

In 2003, Tom was a co-founder Trio, a full-service medical communications agency, as a spin off from ICC. Then in 2005, in his spare time, he started teaching copywriting and advertising courses at the Robert Busch School of Design in the Michael Graves College at Kean University. He’s proud to have guided many new creatives into the industry.

Having built brands across nearly every therapeutic category, Tom has been delighting clients with work built on his personal communications philosophy of “show them you know them.”

A devoted baseball fan, Tom hopes to sell his screenplay about the Miracle Mets. He’s also the father of two dynamic daughters, Hannah and Ellie, both of whom live on the East coast and share Tom’s passion for stand-up comics. Just ask him to do his impression of Jimmy Stewart. Especially around the holidays.
